Welcome to the West, where Venturing is at its best!
Dreams Can Become A Reality Joseph Csatari, 2004
This web site is here to provide Scouters and Venturers with access to valuable Venturing resources from around the Western Region of the BSA.
The Leadership page will connect you with the people who strive to coordinate Venturing beyond the council level.
The Calendar page will allow you to learn about Venturing specific opportunities throughout the west.
The Activities page can assist you in planning your Crew's next high adventure Super Activity.
The Resources page will refer you to other excellent web resources about Venturing, consultants, products, and Scouting in general.
This site is developed and maintained by volunteers, and we'd like your help to make it into a powerful tool for your use. If you have an event to promote around the Region, submit it for posting to the calendar page. If your council, district, or unit offers a tool or information worth sharing with others, contact our webmaster to get it linked here (or to other valuable sites). If there is a resource you'd like to see available here, please let us know, and we'll see what we can do to develop and present it properly.

Applicants need to bring the nomination form to the Area IV election. The nomination form requires the signature of the applicant's Scout Executive.
This is also during CIEC's Venturing Training weekend, so crews and individuals are welcome, and encouraged, to come up for the entire weekend to take a multitude of various trainings (Wilderness First Aid, LNT Trainer, etc). For more information about the weekend, visit the April Calendar page.
(2/16/10) Web Site Updates More Western Region councils have added helpful Venturing information and links to those pages ave been added on the Councils web page. The updates include change in age requirement (one year older) and deadline for the application.
Applications are now due by March 15th and should be sent to Angela.Elliott@scouting.org. The applications need a Scout Executive's signature (that is a must) and only 1 person may be submitted per council, so get these applications in quickly.
